Blab, Blab, Blab!

I swear to god, I really need to stop blabbing about my some of my experiences at work. Nobody except a select know about some of the experiences I have shared here and who I really am. Not that it would be extremely difficult to determine. I have a very respectable career, one that earns a good salary and potential to earn substantially more. I know employers can not discriminate based on "beliefs" or what some others may refer to as "mental illness", however, I do not want to undermine my credibility. The Stigma would drive me more paranoid than I already am.

But, in the end, I believe I am doing what, as John Locke from LOST would say, "what the Island wants me to do", or "What I'm supposed to be doing".

Therefor, sobeit if I am known by my real name and am connected with this blog. I want whats best for humanity, as long as my baby is not sacrificed. Do not ask me to choose. In fact, it's a warning.

Life on Mars

This first half of 2009 promises to be (at least to me) a good season for ABC. Of course, it all started with Lost, my favorite show ever. No less compelling in a slightly different setting is Life on Mars, which just arrived at ABC Fall 2008.

So much of both of these shows parallels my own life. I could devise my own exigesis line by line which would explain how all these influences came to be. That is a work that will never end, at least not with my life. Perhaps it can be analyzed later, most probably in the "Annals of Clinical Psychiatry & Interdimensional Travel". Well, maybe just a current clinical psychiatry journal. Heh! Heh!









The picture above is a scene from I believe the first or second episode. It involves the protagonist, Sam Tyler, and Anne Norris. She is not only the coffee server and paper shuffler, but she is actually a psychologist by education and is quite capable of performing in that capacity. She councils Sam and helps sort through some of the "theories" he throws around his head.

Hum... Just about summons up many of my own theories. I have personally considered everyone of these myself.

24 and other tales - Oh, btw, Here is a pic of me

While I've been gainfully unemployed I've had the opportunity to find time to watch whole several if not all seasons of certain series. It began with Alias last year (in which I completed the whole series. I am caught up with Lost, Battlestar Galactica, and 24.

The funny thing is, as far as I'm concerned,The show in which you would think someone would experience deja vu in, is so far the one that I haven't. And that show would be Lost. ((Major update. You may now disregard the last statement. I had my first real deja vu moment while watching Lost. It was the very last episode of Season 5 at the beginning of the episode when Jacob and his nemesis are speaking with each other on the beach.)) With all the metaphysical and other phenomenon occurring? But I have experienced deja vu with Alias and Battlestar Galactica, which I've already explained on another post.

I made it through the first 4 seasons of 24 with no deja vu experiences. The familiarity began occurring in the episode of season 5 in which President Logan was being implicated concerning the terrorist attacks. His wife, and Secret Serviceman Aaron. All that was too familiar.

In season 6 when President Charles Palmer began succumbing to the failed assassination attempt and the Vice President attempted to take over the presidency because he thought the nukes should have been deployed. Especially near the beginning of the season when the two mostly responsible for the assassination attempt had the Chief of Staff "Tom ?" tied up in another room to keep him quiet, for the time, anyhow.

What's all this leading to? Hell if I know. If I knew the endgame, I may not have set up my presence bantering about it. But then again, I might have something more useful to say, than all ...... this ..................................

Bagua Tattoo

I've finally took a low-rez picture of my Bagua Tattoo on my left deltoid (upper arm). I apologize for the long delay. Wikipedia has a decent article on the meaning behind the symbol. Surrounding the yin yang are eight trigrams, each with different meanings.

I realize that it is similar to the Dharma logo in the ABC series "Lost". I did watch Lost before I got the tattoo, however, it had in no way influenced my decision to obtain one.

Coming Soon: VALIS to be seen by the masses

ABC's LOST features thought provoking literary novels as props either being read by a character from LOST or in his/her library. Rumor has it that Philip K Dicks VALIS will be featured in episode 4 of this 4th season. Since I am a definate LOST FAN I am overly delighted. I think Phil would feel the same way. I found this link nearly simultaneously through David Gill's Totaldickhead and just a few minutes later at a LOST fansite. I didn't follow the link to David's source until after I had read David's source myself. So, even though I would have eventually found it myself, thanks, David, for being on top of things.

It's time to get Lost!

I'm between assignments at the moment. I've been home for two and a half weeks, and I'm still waiting on my next assignment. Hopefully, within the next week and certainly no more than two and I'll have something.

On a positive note, season 4 of LOST is airing this Thursday, woo hoo! They are airing the season 3 last episode plus some extras on Wednesday evening.

Their website is full of teasers and extras, too. Now, go get Lost! LOL!

Now What?

Last weekend I purchased Lost Season 3 from the Itunes store. Unfortunately, I can't download to my Zen MP3 Player. It has to be Itunes. That Apple's rotten, let me tell ya'.

Anyway, I had to get Season 3; I just couldn't wait until December for the US DVD release. I will purchase those, too. You know, for the special features.

Now, I have to wait until next February 08 to watch Season 4. Looking forward to it.

Lost Weekend

Well, it was a Lost Weekend, pun intended. Ha!

I stayed up all night and day watching Lost Season 2. I'm currently browsing the bonus features. I can't believe I now have to wait until December to get Season 3.
Any chance ABC will do reruns?

If it were a book, it would be unputdownable.

This type of intricately interwoven play on plots through flashbacks, etc. really inspires me to write my own serial of stories, so that I may inhabit those worlds, for much longer than a weekend. I feel sort of "Lost".

Lost:: The TV Series

We just bought "Lost" Season one over the weekend. I've heard of it before just in passing, and for some reason thought it was just another drab, pathetic reality TV show. Don't ask me why. Once learning that there was much inward journying for the characters I thought I wouldn't mind seeing it. My GF watched part of season one at her friends house (Hi, Shelly!) and instead of renting them we decided to buy the first season. Definately worth it. We watched the pilot episode(s) and about half the season in just one day. I'm watching a couple more tonight. Unfortunately other matters are pressing, like work (ugghhh!)

I like the music they play, however, it would be a thrill if they should ever decide to use any Radiohead.
